Magic Melon Strain

Magic Melon Strain Overview

Without a shadow of a doubt, Humboldt Seed firm has brought honor to their home county of Humboldt, California, with this delicious variety. The Magic Melon variety has an excellent pedigree, abundant terpene profile, unique growth patterns, and appropriate THC concentration; it has all the right stuff.

Magic Melon is the remarkable progeny that resulted from this process. So it’s no surprise that this strain, which underwent a lot of consideration throughout its development, was selected as the champion strain in the 2018 K Phenotype Mega Hunt hosted by Humboldt Seed Company.

This hybrid is more sativa than indica with a 60:40 ratio, with a THC range from 15% to 25%.

Strain Information

The terpene profile includes caryophyllene, myrcene, and linalool, while the CBD content ranges from about 1% to 2%. Limonene, pinene, & linalool are some of the other terpenes that are a part of the formula.

In general, the high from Magic Melon is uplifting and refreshing. It gradually spreads throughout the body and mind to produce a pleasant and calming effect that makes it a good afternoon stone.

Magic Melon’s excellent flavors, medicinal benefits, and pleasant highs make it a popular choice among both experienced consumers and beginners.

Magic Melon Genetics

The strain was first developed by pollinating Mango Trees with Honeydew Melons. Humboldt Seed Company took a good thing and made it better by crossing their Mango Trees x Honeydew Melon hybrid and their Mango Sherbet variety.

Magic Melon Strain Effects

Imagine Jack in the Beanstalk: a tall, seemingly insignificant stalk conceals the opportunity of a lifetime. This metaphor best describes the Magic Melon euphoria. Strong, enduring, and memorable; nonetheless, the road to success is long and winding.

As you ascend, a tingling euphoria spreads throughout the body, and by the time you reach the peak, the joy has completely taken over your consciousness. Negative or racing thoughts will be replaced by inspiration, concentration, and drive, and you will find joy in living.

Even though you’ll have more energy than usual, you won’t be hyperactive. Instead, you’ll experience a sense of serenity and contentment within yourself.

This is an excellent strain to share with friends because it encourages conversation, introspection, and a good time. In addition, the mind and body both benefit from this uplifting, revitalizing high, which can be used to treat a wide range of conditions.

cannabis smell taste

How does it Smell & Taste?

Is it too obvious to state that this one has a fruity aroma? Maybe. However, there is simply no other way to put it. It smells like a tropical paradise, with a blend of exotic fruits and a hint of spiciness.

The aroma is a kaleidoscope of watermelon, pineapple, mango, raspberries, and sweet honeydew melon, followed by the piercing tang of gasoline or diesel. You’ll be salivating for more after hearing this.

Just like it sounds, Magic Melon is bursting with fresh fruit flavors. Flavor-wise, the primary components are honeydew melon, tropical mangoes, tangy citrus, and exotic berries.

The sweet and sour flavors slide across the tongue, stimulating the senses and making one hungry for more. You and your companions will find that it strikes the ideal balance between being too sweet and bitter.

Growing Magic Melon Seeds

Like Jack’s beanstalk, this plant nearly grows itself. This plant has gained a reputation for its robust growth, little care, and high-yield production, yet it may not be as simple as throwing the seeds out the window and having a gigantic plant the next day.

It is possible to cultivate a Magic Melon from either seeds or cuttings, and feminized and auto-flowering varieties of the plant are readily available.

The plant is small and wide, making it simple to cultivate inside, outside, and in a greenhouse. It produces thick, jumbo-sized peppermint emerald nugs, thin golden pistils, and a frosted covering of crystalline trichomes.

The Magic Melon thrives in hot and humid environments and is highly resistant to mildew, mold, and insects. Growers can get good results from using training methods on this plant, such as the Gas Lantern Technique, light restriction, and trellis training directed outwards.

Pruning, topping, and defoliating regularly are also excellent methods for increasing yield. These techniques boost the amount of light and oxygen reaching the plant’s middle and lower regions, encouraging the interior branches to stack and accelerating growth.

Magic Melon is a simple and satisfying project that anyone can handle, whether they have years of expertise or are just starting.

Flowering & Yield

When grown in optimal conditions, the harvest from the Magic Melon variety is nothing short of spectacular. Most harvests can be doubled or tripled by cultivating outside or in a greenhouse.

Approximately 50 to 56 days are needed for flowering, and the resulting yields average between 0.5 and 1 ounce per square foot.

Early October is prime time for outdoor harvests. Compared to indoor cultivation, outdoor Magic Melon plants can produce up to 19 ounces of fruit per plant.

Magic Melon Weed FAQ

There are three types of Magic Melon seeds: regular, feminized, and auto-flowering.

Even though it’s a hybrid, Magic Melon leans more sativa than indica. So, what does this entail? The strain has characteristics of both Sativa and Indica. However, the sativa characteristics are more pronounced. The resulting strain is a “cool Sativa,” which is pleasant and refreshing without overly euphoric.

The initial surge of mental and physical vitality does not last forever but be assured it will not cause you to crash and burn. On the contrary, you’ll fall into a state of easy contentment and relaxation, much like when you go home following a great day trip. However, please be aware that sedation is a possible side effect of this strain if used excessively.
