Growers in France have been busy over the last two years, at least according to our data. Our statistics provide a clear view of what the most popular strains in France are, and what’s being grown and smoked there as we speak. We have received close to 4 million page views from France during this period, with many of them aimed at the following 10 strains.

It’s hard to find a country that doesn’t appreciate this semi-old-school classic. Although the exact meaning of the letters “OG” is up for debate, her potency and taste are solid facts. She is the fusion of Chemdawg and Hindu Kush, two strains closely related to hardy landraces from Thailand, Nepal, and the Hindu Kush mountain range. OG Kush is capable of producing THC levels of up to 25%, fueling a sedating and tranquil indica body high. OG Kush is also widely used in edibles in attempt to capture her diverse flavors.

Plants grown indoors reach a height of 160cm and yield around 450g/m². Outdoor plants grow to a taller height of 220cm and produce a medium harvest.

Amnesia Haze is a sativa-dominant lady that produces massive colas decorated in colors of purple, green, and orange. She is the result of an ambitious breeding program that combined Jamaican, Afghani, Laotian, and Hawaiian genetics. Smoking these flowers induces a racing head high that stimulates the mind, but, as her name suggests, challenges the short-term memory. This high isn’t ideal for nuanced work, but serves as a great motivator during sports and physical activity. She’s also a popular party strain.

Amnesia Haze grows to a tall height outdoors and produces a large and fruitful yield. Indoor plants achieve heights of between 80–140cm and yield around 600g/m².

This almost-pure indica was created using parent strains Critical Mass and OG Kush, and contains 20–25% THC and 1–2% CBD. This cannabinoid profile results in a relaxing and therapeutic high. Although the experience can be quite intense, the presence of CBD takes the edge off.

Critical Kush produces large, tapered colas that are white with trichomes and feature purple and piercing sugar leaves. She is easy to grow, maintains a short height, and produces satisfying yields indoors and outdoors.

Cheese makes a great smoke for those times when you can’t decide between smoking an indica or a sativa strain. She represents a perfect balance between the two, with 50% sativa genetics and 50% indica. She was created in the United Kingdom during the late 1990s, with a high that targets the body and mind in unison, and has since found a large fan base in France. Medium levels of CBD add therapeutic value to a euphoric and happy high that can be enjoyed day or night to manage symptoms, without too much of a stoning effect.

Cheese is a pungent strain, so be sure to use carbon filters when growing indoors. Expect this strain to reach a height of 150cm and produce a medium yield.
